Mudfest doesn't even explain what that place turned into sat morning. It was like a hurricane hit that place. It went from a few drops to a cluster fuck in about 3 minutes. We scrabled to get the bare metal trucks in the trailer and get our tents and pop ups Down and we locked the trailer and secured it and rocked out. Me and jamie and our crew went 90 miles west to Austin and toured the Austin speed shop and had a kick ass steak. So we saved the day so to speak. We rolled back in about 11 am on Sunday to find a disaster zone. It looked like a friggin bomb went off in the place. I'm glad we didn't stay. We only got one truck judged for the show Friday ad we got a top 50 award with it out a reported 2000 rides there. I don't believe that number is correct but it is what it is!! The best part of the trip was getting to see jamie again and hang out with him and chris and my chick. The long ass drive sucked and cost me a fortune but I had fun and got to meet some cool new people. So basically I drove 18hr each way paid 120 bucks to get in the show. Got to display our work for about 10 hrs and got little trophey... Kickass.. If I go again. I'm drivin what I'm showing like jamie did. There wasn't really a show at all come to think of it. Just like park your ride where ever you camp at and hope someone sees it and judges it and just get piss hammered drunk for 3days. That used to be a good time at the old lo Paz river runs at lake havasu when I was 20 I guess I just grew up and we put alot if work into these rides we build and I want people to see them at there best not covered in an inch of dust. Just me I guess. I'm glad I went but if you didn't make It ya didn't miss anything except hanging with IV members which made it all worth it to me!!

Yeah I definitely thought the over all out come sucked, but there isn’t much you can do for mother nature. Thurs and fri night were crazy, and sat night was going to be insane. Maybe the rain came out because something bad was going to happen, and the big lady in the sky wanted to chill before it happened…lol?!?!

Anyways, the “show” was a bit weird. I like having a dedicated show grounds to take your ride to and show it off. Having them set up at your camp was a novel idea, but I think it made for a weird sense of “this is it?” Like I sort of felt I could have set up my stuff in my front yard, cranked up the tunes and drank till I puke in the safety of my own place.

But oh-well, I always wanted to got o a “far” show, and this one left a bit of a bad taste in my mouth. I was really looking forward to a crazy ass time with a buddy I haven’t seen in 13 years..

Now the IIGW focus is set on WCN. The Orado will chill for a bit, and the biggest project to get back on is the Too Slow ranger.
